Michael joined us in November 2015 as an Administration apprentice within the In-House Engineering team. We had a little catch-up with Michael to see how he’s getting on…
What have you learnt so far working here?
I have learnt to be more confident in the skills on certain programmes such as Word, Excel, Outlook and our internal database Swiftcase.
What’s the culture like at Laird?
I enjoy the close family like culture within Laird as it encourages people to come out of their shell allowing the likes of people like myself to work to their full potential. It’s also great to know that whatever position you are within the company you are get the feeling that you really are appreciated for what you do.
Do you feel that working here will benefit your future career?
Absolutely. I am learning new skills everyday and looking forward to progressing to the next level in my apprenticeship. I am getting a great understanding of the engineering side of things and I see myself having a long career with Laird.
