This week Laird has created an online suggestion box which has been sent to all staff with the topic Stress Relief in work… The staff were asked to suggest things we could implement within the office to aid stress relief whether it be work related or general well-being.
The main suggestions focused on sugary items in the office and healthy eating. We replaced any cordials with Sugar free versions and have ordered fruit baskets to be placed in all three kitchens for some healthy snacks whilst on breaks. Sugary treats have been barred from the kitchen as the keen bakers have had to rethink their recipes for the month.
Every week Nik provides a department Brunch on the Boss – this is awarded based on achievements made throughout the week and productivity. This month we have decided to change things up a bit and today we have offered 10 chosen employees a 12-minute massage from a Massage therapist from Just Human Mobile Massage Therapists, so far two members of staff have enjoyed the delights of a work based massage and feel on top of the world.
We will be keeping up with the stress relief suggestions, sugar ban and healthy treats over the coming weeks and will be finding out what the feedback is from staff regarding productivity and happiness in the work place.
