We're delighted to have been invited by The Credit Hire Organisation (CHO) to host a webinar examining the growing threat of AI-generated and manipulated vehicle damage photographs.
Generative AI is eroding the assumption that photographic evidence can be trusted. Images can now be altered to add damage, exaggerate its severity or present an entirely fabricated version of a vehicle, all without the specialist skills once required.
Established fraud controls remain vital, but many were not designed to identify convincing AI manipulation within photographs. For insurers and accident management companies, that creates a dangerous gap: apparently credible visual evidence can influence liability, repair and settlement decisions before its authenticity is questioned.
The webinar, “The Dangers of AI-Generated and Exaggerated Damage Claims,” will examine how image manipulation is developing, the warning signs claims teams should understand and the practical detection strategies businesses can adopt.
Taking place via Microsoft Teams on Thursday 8 October at 1pm, the event is open to CHO members and non-members.
