The Industry Celebrates a Fantastic Evening at The CHO Networking Dinner 2026

An evening of industry connections, competitive racing and some rather questionable singing made this year's CHO Networking Dinner one to remember.

The Industry Celebrates a Fantastic Evening at The CHO Networking Dinner 2026

We were delighted to be the headline sponsor of The CHO Networking Dinner 2026, bringing together colleagues, clients and friends from across the credit hire and wider motor claims industry for an evening of networking, entertainment and a little friendly competition.

As ever, The CHO delivered an excellent event, providing a welcome opportunity to catch up with familiar faces, make new connections and enjoy an evening away from the usual demands of the industry.

The Fastest Driver of the Night

One of the evening's highlights was the Laird-sponsored Formula 1 racing simulator, which attracted plenty of interest throughout the event.

With competitors battling for the fastest lap, there was no shortage of enthusiasm, competitive spirit or confident predictions of who might top the leaderboard.

However, there could only be one winner.

Congratulations to Ben Taylor of Acclaim (UK), who claimed the fastest lap of the evening and took the honours as Laird's F1 simulator champion for 2026.

A great effort from Ben, and thanks to everyone who took part, particularly those whose confidence behind the wheel wasn't quite matched by their lap times!

From Fast Laps to Flat Notes

Once the racing was over, attention turned to the evening's live entertainment, with bandeoke giving guests the opportunity to take to the stage and perform alongside a live band.

It proved enormously popular, with plenty of willing volunteers demonstrating varying degrees of musical ability. Some genuinely impressive performances were mixed with a few voices that might be better suited to negotiating claims than securing recording contracts.

Nevertheless, enthusiasm was never in short supply, and the combination of live music, audience participation and some wonderfully questionable vocals made for a thoroughly entertaining evening.

Full credit to everyone brave enough to take to the microphone, and particularly to the band for keeping everything going regardless of what was thrown at them!

Proud to Support the Industry

For Laird, sponsoring The CHO Networking Dinner is about supporting an industry in which we've built longstanding relationships and continue to develop new ones.

The credit hire and motor claims sectors remain an important part of our business, and events like this provide a valuable opportunity to spend time with the people and organisations we work alongside throughout the year.

It's also a reminder of the strength of the relationships within the sector. Despite the commercial pressures and challenges we all encounter, there's still plenty of room for good conversation, shared experiences and the occasional laugh.

Our thanks go to The CHO team for organising another excellent event, to everyone who visited the Laird simulator and, of course, to all those who helped make the evening such a success.

Congratulations once again to Ben Taylor on his victory, and thank you to our clients, colleagues and industry friends for making it such an enjoyable occasion.

We look forward to seeing everyone again next year.
