Laird Assessors Named Finalist at the 2026 Personal Injury Awards

We're delighted to announce that Laird has been named a finalist in the Supporting the Industry Award category at the 2026 Personal Injury Awards, taking place in Manchester on 26th November.

It's always pleasing to receive industry recognition, but this particular nomination means a great deal to us because it reflects something we've worked hard to build into the culture of Laird: being genuinely helpful, accessible and supportive to the people and businesses who rely on us.

Customer Service Is Everyone's Responsibility

As an independent motor assessors, our role extends well beyond producing accurate vehicle assessments. We understand that our clients are often dealing with difficult circumstances, demanding workloads, tight deadlines and customers who understandably want answers quickly.

We've always believed that good service means being available when clients need us, offering honest advice, communicating clearly and, importantly, taking responsibility for getting things right. Sometimes that means going beyond the immediate instruction to help resolve a problem before it becomes a bigger one.

Our engineers and support teams work exceptionally hard to deliver that standard, often under considerable pressure. Their expertise, professionalism and willingness to help are fundamental to the relationships we've built across the personal injury, accident management and insurance sectors.

Combining Personal Service with 24/7 Technology

Of course, expectations have changed considerably over the years. Clients increasingly need information, updates and answers outside conventional working hours, and we've invested heavily in technology to help meet those expectations.

Through our AI-powered systems, automated workflows and digital customer support, we're able to provide assistance and access to information 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Whether that's helping a driver understand a vehicle valuation, gathering information for an assessment or providing progress updates, technology allows us to deliver a faster, more responsive service without placing unnecessary demands on our clients' teams.

Importantly, we've never viewed automation as a reason to become less personal. Quite the opposite. By removing repetitive administration and improving the flow of information, we can give our people more time to concentrate on the situations where their experience, judgement and personal involvement make the greatest difference.

We believe the combination of intelligent technology and genuinely accessible human expertise is increasingly important to the future of customer service across our industry.

Recognition for the People Behind Laird

What makes this nomination particularly satisfying is that it recognises the collective effort of people who rarely seek the spotlight.

From our engineers providing independent technical advice to the colleagues answering questions, resolving problems and keeping instructions moving, there's a great deal of work that goes on behind the scenes to make our clients' lives easier.

We're proud of what we've achieved, but we're equally conscious that excellent customer service is something you have to keep earning. There are always opportunities to improve, new challenges to overcome and better ways of doing things. That's what keeps us investing, innovating and occasionally questioning why we've been doing something a particular way for the last twenty years!

Looking Forward to November

We're especially pleased to receive this recognition at the Personal Injury Awards, which celebrate the organisations and individuals making a positive contribution to the sector.

Being shortlisted alongside other businesses committed to supporting the industry is an achievement in itself, and we're looking forward to celebrating with colleagues, clients and friends in Manchester on 26th November.

Most importantly, a sincere thank you to the entire Laird team and to the clients who continue to place their trust in us. Your support, feedback and occasional challenges help us keep improving.

And while winning would undoubtedly be rather nice, being recognised for something we genuinely care about is already a very welcome achievement.
