We are trying to secure funding from Wirral Council to provide a greenhouse and equipment for local children’s nursery, Marigold Nursery, in Heswall and we need your help.
The nursery currently has a vegetable plot where they grow as many of their own fruit and vegetables as possible to use in their kitchen.
The children really enjoy working in the garden and learning about growing plants and where food comes from and would love a greenhouse to allow them to grow different varieties of plants from seed. It’s so important to educate our children on healthy food to avoid our future generation facing the obesity and health issues of today.
All you have to do is vote for the project at www.wirral.gov.uk/lovewirral where you will find a link to the online voting site. Voting is open from Monday 13th – 24th January. Select SOUTH WIRRAL and the project name is MARIGOLD NURSERY GREENHOUSE PROJECT.
Votes are limited to one per person so please ask as many people as you can to vote so we can turn this into a reality.
