We are incredibly proud to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for three categories at the Modern Claims Awards 2026, a recognition that reflects not only the quality of our work, but the values, people, and innovation that sit behind it.
To be acknowledged across technology, industry contribution, and workplace culture is particularly meaningful to us. It demonstrates that what we do at Laird is consistent and deliberate: combining technical excellence with integrity, collaboration, and a deep respect for the people who make it all possible.
Tech Initiative of the Year
Our nomination for Tech Initiative of the Year recognises the significant investment we have made in building practical, outcome-driven technology that genuinely improves claims assessment. At the heart of this is our AI-driven inspection platform, Swiftcase, which allows vehicle owners to capture high-quality damage imagery via a simple web link, enabling our system and desktop assessors to produce accurate, timely reports without unnecessary site visits .
This approach has transformed efficiency, reduced turnaround times from days to hours, lowered costs, and improved consistency, all while maintaining the professional judgement that remains central to quality assessments. Beyond inspections, we have embedded automation and analytics throughout our workflows, from FNOL to invoicing, giving clients transparency, actionable insight, and confidence in the data underpinning decisions. For us, technology is not an add-on, it is a tool used thoughtfully to raise standards across the industry.
Supporting the Industry (1–25 Employees)
Being shortlisted for Supporting the Industry is a source of real pride. As a small, specialist team, we take our responsibility to the wider claims ecosystem seriously. Our work goes beyond individual assessments, focusing on knowledge-sharing, training, and raising professional standards across the sector .
Through initiatives such as our Engineer Academy, ongoing CPD, and guidance on evolving standards like ABI Salvage Codes, we actively contribute to developing future talent and helping partners navigate complexity with confidence. Our client-centric approach, flexible reporting, and system integration ensure that insurers, brokers, fleet managers, and legal partners receive services tailored to their real-world needs, strengthening trust and long-term collaboration.
Best Place to Work
Of all the nominations, Best Place to Work holds a very special place for us. We are unapologetically proud of our team. Everything we achieve as a business is built on the commitment, professionalism, and care shown by our people every single day .
We have worked hard to create an environment where people feel trusted, supported, and genuinely valued. From flexible working and wellbeing-first practices, to an open, inclusive culture where every voice is heard, Laird is a place where people are encouraged to be themselves and do their best work. Recognition, continuous learning, autonomy, and strong personal relationships are not side initiatives, they are fundamental to how we operate.
This nomination reflects a culture where people are proud to turn up each day, support one another, and take ownership of the work they do. We believe that when people are treated well, clients feel the difference, and this recognition affirms that belief.
Being shortlisted for three Modern Claims Awards is an honour. We would like to thank our team, our clients, and our partners for their trust and support. Whatever the outcome, this recognition reinforces our commitment to innovation, integrity, and putting people at the heart of everything we do.
