It was that time of year again at Laird HQ, and this year, the Laird Experts, based in Heswall, hosted Donate for Cake to raise money for Children in Need. Laird host charity events on a regular basis from their Head Office, with all staff contributing, including their Field Engineers based across the country.
On Friday, Nik Ellis, MD of Laird Experts, rolled up his sleeves and joined his staff to raise money for Children in Need. Of the event, Nik said “It’s such an important event for us to support. There’s only so much we can do as a small business but we always really try to do our bit, every year. Last year we wore onesies to work, and this year it was the Donate for Cake. I certainly don’t need to be persuaded to eat cake” He added, “Daniel Craig spoke about Claire House a local charity supported by Children In Need on Friday nights show and it’s a charity very close to my heart. We recently took part in the Claire House Splash Dash and instead of buying each other Christmas cards, we will be donating that money to Claire House. Anything we can do to help, we will.”
Showcasing a selection of Biscuits, cakes and cupcakes throughout the office with Pudsey sitting proud of place collecting the valuable contributions from all enjoying the feast raising just under £100.
Keen fundraisers Lairds Assessors are the perfect example of combining talents and ideas to raise money for charity from small office fundraisers to larger community events.
