Who Are We?

We’re the UK’s leading Automotive Expert Witness provider based on the Wirral, with our staff motor engineers positioned strategically around the entire country.

We have a diverse client base from the Legal, Insurance & Motor Industries where we’ve cultivated an excellent good reputation.  We’ve even won a fair few awards along the way.  No secret to our success; simply happy, motivated & well trained staff producing high quality work.

Our teams love providing five star customer service & in particular going that extra mile.  We believe everyone should love what they do, so we’re committed to investing in each other, both inside & outside work.

Having a passion to evolve ensures that we stay at the forefront of our rapidly changing industry.

We have a work smart, play hard attitude, with flexible hours, bonus schemes, training, pensions & personal development.

Outside work we throw great parties & events, get involved in lots of great stuff (often for charity), have an annual ski trip, plus loads of random fun things.  (Search Laird Assessors on socials)

What do we need?

A hybrid Motor Engineer Assessor.  We’re looking for someone who can inspect & assess damaged vehicles on the road, but also provide desk-top, remote imaging reports ideally based in and around the Birmingham area.

A working knowledge of estimating systems would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given.

Who Are You?

You’ll have had experience as an estimator in a bodyshop, a desk-top / in-house engineer, or a field motor engineer.

You might even have good experience in a bodyshop and want to make the move to assessor.

Computer literacy is important but so is the human side; you must be able to liaise & communicate effectively with a wide range of other humans.

You must have a lust for continual personal development, keeping abreast of the increasingly fast advancements in vehicle tech & materials.

We don’t expect you to know everything & we do give comprehensive initial, plus ongoing, training.

What now?

Get in touch.  If you have a passion to be part of an evolving and growing business please contact us for more information.  Send your CV & a covering letter to Lee Baty

Job Type: Full-time.  Excellent annual salary, bonus, pension, CPD, training, parties & events +++
