Accident Reconstruction

An accident reconstruction uses the known evidence to mathematically calculate the likely events leading up to, during and after a collision. We visit and measure the locus, examine the vehicles and collate all other available facts to build up a picture of the incident.
We can translate a reconstruction into a three dimensional animated model; a video clip presentation can take minutes to demonstrate the incident and is helpful to explain a complicated accident, particularly to a jury.
It is often the case that only one aspect of the reconstruction is required, for example, the speed of the impact or the likely cause of the accident. In these cases we can provide a partial reconstruction at a fraction of the cost of a full reconstruction.
We will gladly review reconstructions carried out by other parties, including the police, and advise whether they are accurate or whether errors have been made.
Typical reconstruction reports will seek to establish the pre-accident velocities of vehicles involved, the movements of the vehicle pre and post collision, collision speeds, Delta V, times involved and ultimately establish fault.
These reports normally take 7 days to compile once the information has been collected, and can be sent via e-mail, fax and / or post.
